About

So I’m Pat, a thriving college student (although that depends on what you consider thriving) and I’m in charge here at Blind Obedience. I’m the biggest Red Sox fan you’ll probably ever find. I also love writing, so putting the two together made sense. I’m a mass communication major with minors in psychology and religious studies, and I’m hoping to break into the sports journalism/broadcasting field. Topics here will range from the Red Sox, to Boston sports, to sports in general, to my love life, to my thoughts on the world, to beautiful women, to superheroes, to anything a man may want in his mancave, to anything a man may want to read while on his throne, back to beautiful women (especially when they wear things like this), to anything I really feel like writing, and back to the Red Sox. One of my best friends and loyal readers recently described my work on Blind Obedience as “talking about life through the avenue of sports.” I’d say that’s fairly accurate.

I also like to make this one-stop shopping for all the work and writing that I do (or at least link everything from here as a giant archive). Be sure to check out the different page headings and what they contain to stay up to date with the latest and greatest work from your new favorite writer!

I’d be remiss not to mention my main inspirations for this blog: shout outs to Red and Denton (@survivinggrady) over at Surviving Grady, Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) with all his work at ESPN and GrantLand, Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) for his coverage over at ESPNBoston, and to Sister Anne, my 7th and 8th grade English teacher, who taught me just how totally freakin awesome writing could be.

Thanks for reading, and Go Sox!
